Agrïa places sustainable development at the core of its strategy, built around two key pillars:
Social inclusion – Through active support for the Bel Ombre communities, with programs such as Bouze Zenes carried out in partnership with educational, sports, and cultural associations. These initiatives strengthen social bonds, foster autonomy, and contribute to collective well-being.
Ecosystem preservation – By adopting innovative practices such as carbon farming, agricultural regeneration, and the progressive integration of environmentally friendly operational solutions. These commitments shape a territorial development model where social and environmental impact goes hand in hand with the creation of sustainable value.
Agroecology
Agrïa places sustainable agriculture at the core of its actions, with a strong commitment to agroecology and short supply chains.
In partnership with the Regional Training Center and the Mauritius Chamber of Agriculture, Agrïa trains local agripreneurs and implements ecological projects such as agroecological and educational vegetable gardens.
Community Engagement
Agrïa values the social fabric of Bel Ombre by actively supporting local associations.
Its initiatives foster inclusion, autonomy, and collective well-being. By building strong ties with residents, Agrïa promotes harmonious development where every project respects local culture and encourages community living.

In 2022, I followed a training course in agroecology in Bel Ombre, thanks to Agria’s 0KM project. This experience taught me how to grow healthy vegetables without pesticides and to adopt sustainable farming practices, in harmony with the environment and my family’s health.
