At Agrïa, the Victoria pineapple perfectly embodies the richness and finesse of our terroir. Grown under the generous sun of the South-West, it captivates with its incomparable sweetness and intense fragrance.
Victoria Pineapple: A Taste of Mauritius Beyond Borders
Agrïa exclusively cultivates the Victoria variety: small, golden, and exceptionally sweet, with a flavor reminiscent of candy. Our plantations, bathed in the Mauritian sun, yield 120 tonnes of juicy fruit each year, with an ambitious long-term goal of 300 tonnes.
Each pineapple is harvested at peak ripeness and prepared according to strict standards to ensure quality and freshness, before being exported — notably to Rungis in France — to meet the exacting demands of gastronomy professionals.
IN SUPPORT OF A NOBLE CAUSE
Fruits rejected from export are never wasted: they are donated to the Fam-Unie association, which transforms them into artisanal jams. This solidarity initiative supports women in vulnerable situations while giving a second life to this exceptional fruit
